Contract Duration: 6+ months
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Note: This is a remote role, but candidates must reside in the Raleigh-Durham area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert for the Raleigh geographical area, conducting local market research and providing insights to enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Serve as a corporate liaison with local Client managers and colleagues, driving engagement, coordinating communications, and gathering feedback.
- Collaborate with various cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, and consumer insights.
Role Summary:
This position is integral to the development of marketing strategies and campaigns for the Retail Marketing team, focusing on the Price Value initiative within the Raleigh-Durham market. You will leverage your expertise in the local area to conduct research and provide actionable insights aimed at maximizing campaign reach and impact. Additionally, you will facilitate communication and collaboration among local Client managers and team members, ensuring effective participation and feedback collection. This role requires close cooperation with multiple departments, including marketing, merchandising, and consumer insights.
Project Implementation:
- Formulate marketing strategies by analyzing economic indicators, identifying customer needs, and monitoring competitive activities.
- Provide relevant information and recommendations for campaigns, guiding options and actions while executing directives.
- Assist in the development, execution, and monitoring of marketing initiatives, offering on-the-ground support for promotional activities.
- Deliver short- and long-term market forecasts and reports by overseeing market research, data analysis, and interpretation.
- Contribute to team efforts by generating ideas that target the demographic profile of the intended audience.
Relationship Building:
- Maintain partnerships with local stakeholders by organizing and implementing targeted programs.
- Establish and nurture key strategic relationships with external market data providers.
- Collaborate closely with the Insights team to conduct customer research and translate findings into actionable strategies.
Market and Consumer Insights:
- Conduct competitive analyses to pinpoint strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for the Client.
- Proactively enhance knowledge of retail and marketing trends to identify best practices for the Client.
Qualifications:
- Experience in product launches or integrated marketing campaigns.
- Familiarity with market research methodologies, surveys, and data analytics.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of independent work with strong critical thinking abilities.
- Effective communication skills across all organizational levels, with the ability to build relationships and lead cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in Marketing or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of the Raleigh, NC market.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
- This is a remote position, 6-month contract, but candidates must be based in the Raleigh market for business needs.
