Job Summary

The City Of Eagle Pass is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Custodian-ICT to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our office and special use facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Custodial Services: Ensure the cleanliness of public entry and use areas, including hallways, stairways, eating/break room areas, and meeting and conference facilities.
  • Light Maintenance: Perform minor repairs and adjustments on furniture, electrical cords, and plumbing fixtures.
  • Grounds Keeping: Maintain safe and clean walkways and grounds surrounding City facilities, including mowing lawns, trimming trees and ornamental plants, and picking up litter.
  • Event Support: Set up and take down seating and equipment for events, including Council, conference room, and event venues.
  • Supply Management: Maintain various supplies and equipment used in the course of work, including receiving, storing, and distributing office supplies or catering items.
  • Record Keeping: Complete work order requests, check time sheets, and complete departmental forms for internal use.
Requirements
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform a variety of work in the custodial and light maintenance of office and special use facilities, and general services that support day-to-day operations.
  • Distinguishing Career Features: Advancement to Maintenance Custodian is based on need and the ability to perform semi-skilled craft work and assist in skilled trades.
  • Requirements: Knowledge in day custodial services and light maintenance services.
