We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Take vital signs and assist patients with activities of daily living
- Collect specimens and observe patients for physical and emotional changes
- Record pertinent information in patient charts and communicate with other healthcare team members
- Function as a Behavioral Health Monitor and provide safe and timely monitoring of patients
To be eligible for this role, you must be enrolled in the Heartland Community College CNA Program and have a 2-year work commitment to OSF St. Joseph Medical Center. Required qualifications include:
- CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
- CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS
Preferred qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, six months of experience in a clinical healthcare environment, and six months of experience supporting physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs of patients.
