About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in our Observation Unit, you will be responsible for providing direct comprehensive nursing care to patients from admission to discharge. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers
  • Function as an on-shift team member, working collaboratively with the healthcare team
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Monitor and report patient progress to the healthcare team
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
About the Unit

The Observation Unit is a 32-bed unit affiliated with the Emergency Department, observing patients who are expected to be in the hospital less than 24 hours. Our team cares for a variety of patients, including those with chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, heart catheterizations, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, UTIs, and DVTs.

Qualifications
  • Current Indiana or compact state RN license
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider required
  • ACLS required within 12 months of hire
