Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at our Cedar Creek of Bloomington community. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with personal care needs, including grooming, hygiene, dressing, and nutrition.
  • Provide direction and support to residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and using the restroom.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
  • Transport residents safely and assist with walking, turning, or repositioning as needed.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, including changing bed linens and running errands.
  • Assist with laundry and housekeeping duties, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Encourage and assist residents to participate in activities, promoting their physical, personal, and emotional well-being.
  • Listen and understand the problems of residents, reporting observations to the care team as needed.
  • Understand and respect the Advance Directives of residents, following their wishes and preferences.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff, ensuring a positive and supportive environment.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited CNA program preferred.
  • One year of experience as a certified nursing assistant preferred.
  • CPR or BLS certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in Internet browsers, Microsoft Office programs, and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Dependable and able to meet scheduling requirements with no restrictions.
  • General knowledge of laws and restrictions regarding senior living care, as well as a solid understanding of opportunities and limits of other levels of care within senior living.
