Job Summary

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at California State University San Marcos invites applications for a pool of part-time lecturers to teach various chemistry and biochemistry courses. We are seeking highly qualified and experienced instructors to join our faculty team.

Responsibilities
  • Teach chemistry and biochemistry courses at the undergraduate level
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments
  • Provide academic support and guidance to students
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
Requirements
  • Master's degree in chemistry or a closely related field
  • Experience teaching chemistry and biochemistry courses at the undergraduate level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Terminal degree in chemistry or a closely related field
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Commitment to improving access to higher education for underrepresented groups
Compensation

Salary is commensurate with degree level and experience. The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range.
