Job Opportunity: Part-Time Lecturer Pool

The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at California State University, San Luis Obispo, is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time lecturer pool. Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time lecturer to teach chemistry and biochemistry courses as needed during the academic year. The successful candidate will have a strong background in chemistry and biochemistry, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to work effectively with students and colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Teach chemistry and biochemistry courses as needed during the academic year
  • Develop and implement course materials and assessments
  • Provide feedback and guidance to students
  • Collaborate with department faculty and staff to achieve departmental goals
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline is required
  • Doctoral degree in Chemistry or a related discipline is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching chemistry and biochemistry courses
  • Strong background in chemistry and biochemistry
Special Conditions

The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.

Following a conditional offer of employment, a background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate may start work with Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may result in the withdrawal of the offer of employment.
