A Polysomnographic Technologist / Sleep Technologist works under the general supervision of the Medical Director and the Administrative Director of Pulmonary & Sleep services to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center and home sleep apnea testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing routine equipment care and maintenance and inventory evaluation
  • Demonstrating computer skills appropriate for the position
  • Demonstrating effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrating appropriate social skills
  • Demonstrating customer service skills
  • Demonstrating critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision to analyze complex situations and apply policy
  • Demonstrating teamwork skills
  • Following HIPAA and privacy policies
  • Demonstrating ability to follow direction
  • Responding to sleep patients procedural-related inquiries by providing appropriate education utilizing sleep center specific protocols
  • Adhering to sleep center policies and procedures
  • Inspecting and maintaining sleep study related equipment and inventory
  • Reviewing and evaluating sleep studies and providing appropriate feedback to staff
  • Complying with professional standards of conduct
  • Assisting the medical director, clinical director and/or manager in all aspects of sleep center operations

Pay Range:

$40.00 minimum to $42.00 maximum Hourly Rate
