Job Description

This position is located at Marshall County Coal Resources in Cameron, West Virginia. We are seeking hard working, motivated individuals for an entry level mining position and is assigned to the underground mining operations.

As an entry-level coal miner, you will be responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient production of coal. This includes performing heavy labor, visually inspecting work areas for potential hazards, and working independently without supervision.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in oil and gas industry, manufacturing, construction, industrial and/or a mechanical background, and be familiar with hand tools. Additionally, you must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, and be able to work well in a team environment.

  • Able to work independently without supervision
  • Ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks
  • Must safely, effectively, and efficiently work and respond to changing conditions within the mine
  • Must have the ability to learn the safe and efficient operation of underground mining equipment
  • Must ensure that body mechanics, equipment, and tools are utilized in a safe and responsible manner
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient production of coal and/or assistance in the production of coal in general work areas
  • Requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations
  • Must comply with company policies, federal and state laws, and regulatory standards
