Key Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer:

  • Travel to client sites to diagnose technical issues and execute on-site repairs.
  • Provide installation and maintenance assistance for machine tool equipment and CNC systems.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints to troubleshoot and finalize repairs.
  • Document and report any technical challenges encountered.
  • Engage in cross-training for mechanical, electrical, and electronic maintenance.
  • Participate in seminars and industry conferences.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and training to clients.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail in all tasks.

Qualifications for the Field Service Engineer:

  • Preferred: Associate's degree in engineering or a 2-year technical degree; relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Required: Minimum of four years of experience in maintenance or a related field (Industrial, Manufacturing, Metal Fabrication, or Automotive).
  • Proficient in using measurement tools such as dial indicators, micrometers, voltmeters, and calipers.
  • Must reside within a reasonable distance to an airport for travel.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide 80% - 90% of the time for projects, including some overnight stays.
  • Experience in mechanical, electronics, and electrical systems is essential.
  • Familiarity with CNC systems (preferably Fanuc) and machine tool equipment is required.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and linear guides.

This role is situated in a manufacturing environment. While performing job duties, candidates may need to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, and use hands to handle or feel parts and equipment. Close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision may also be required.
