Job Description

Job Summary:

TJM Industries Inc is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to lead capital improvement projects and drive lean manufacturing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in equipment improvements, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead capital improvement projects, including project planning, execution, and monitoring
  • Develop and implement lean manufacturing initiatives, including Kaizen events and daily lean activities
  • Conduct time studies and re-layout work areas to improve productivity, safety, and quality
  • Work on reducing inventories and improving turns
  • Improve the efficiencies of equipment and add automation where possible
  • Work on quality improvements and help with programming of machining equipment for increased productivity

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in equipment improvements and lean manufacturing
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with all levels of workers
  • Experience with leading CI projects and lean manufacturing initiatives
