The Financial Planning Analyst will support the management team in strategizing, reporting, and evaluating all Point of Sales (POS) investments within RBNA, as well as overseeing the indirect budget for the HQ Sales divisions. This role requires collaboration with various Sales departments, Trade Marketing, and Operations teams across all organizational levels to provide valuable insights and solutions for the RBNA POS and HQ Sales indirect budget. Additionally, you will contribute to the consolidated reporting for the RBNA Trade Marketing (POS) Profit & Loss Area. Daily management of multiple planning and analysis applications is essential to ensure financial clarity and support the strategic decision-making of executive leadership. You will serve as a business partner for the sales departments, conducting analyses and offering recommendations to the Trade Finance manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • MONTH-END CLOSING

    Ensure accurate cut-off and proper expense recognition.

    Confirm that all monthly ordering process activities are finalized appropriately.

    Oversee the monthly accrual process to guarantee proper expense recognition and identify any budget risks.

    Reconcile financial systems (SAP/BI/Hyperion/POS Ordering tool).

    Calculate timing accruals as necessary.

    Review national POS investments to ensure adherence to controlling guidelines.
  • REPORTING & ANALYSIS

    Assist the Finance Manager in developing and enhancing the management reporting package.

    Prepare and distribute a comprehensive monthly report, including insights at the customer hierarchy level using SAP, BI, and Hyperion for each budget owner.

    Analyze actual figures against the latest plan, providing detailed insights and high-quality reporting to business stakeholders.

    Manage all identifiable financial risks in monthly trends that require management intervention.

    Generate a monthly Capex and Depreciation forecast simulation to identify any risks to our POS budget.

    Calculate and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory value, inventory provision, and slow-moving inventory risk.
  • PLANNING & FORECASTING

    Coordinate the collection and entry of data for the Business Plan/Revised Estimate.

    Facilitate the timing and input required during the budgeting process.

    Aggregate and consolidate individual plans into a comprehensive total plan.

    Support and challenge budget owners throughout the planning process.

    Prepare year-to-go best estimates to mitigate risks effectively.

    Assist the Trade Finance manager in managing any variances from the agreed-upon budget targets.
  • BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP

    Act as a point of contact for business owners, providing constructive challenges when necessary.

    Engage with various stakeholders, maintaining a service-oriented mindset while also questioning, suggesting, and providing insights.

    Support budget owners in managing inventory availability and potential fund reallocations.

    Collaborate with the business to assess whether POS spending is achieving the desired outcomes.

    Assist Business Managers with budget reallocations and ensure overall budget compliance.

    Evaluate new product developments and their financial implications.

    Prepare scenarios and simulations based on input from budget owners to model impacts.

    Conduct ad hoc calculations and provide insights to enhance business performance.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Your expertise and knowledge:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a finance-related position.
  • A university degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with SAP R/3, SAP BI, and Hyperion is preferred.
  • Ability to deliver results accurately and on time.
  • Highly analytical with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in identifying and analyzing risks and impacts, with the ability to propose alternatives.
  • A structured and organized approach to work.
  • Minimal travel required (0-10%).
