Doyon Government Group (DGG) specializes in providing comprehensive Design-Build and General Construction Services, focusing on demolition, new construction, renovations, repairs, and civil engineering projects for government-owned facilities and military installations.

We are currently in search of a highly qualified and meticulous Senior Structural Project Engineer to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will take charge of the quality assurance processes related to structural systems and components throughout various construction projects. This position demands an in-depth knowledge of structural engineering concepts, construction methodologies, and quality control practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute quality assurance protocols for structural systems in construction endeavors.
  • Perform regular assessments and evaluations of structural components to verify compliance with project specifications, industry benchmarks, and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the quality of structural materials, tools, and craftsmanship on-site.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to construction techniques and practices to boost quality and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all structural activities adhere to industry regulations, project requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Investigate and rectify quality-related issues and discrepancies in structural construction.
  • Establish corrective and preventive measures to mitigate quality concerns.
  • Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to guarantee the quality of structural materials and installations.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Graduate Civil Engineer with a focus on Structural Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
  • Construction Manager holding a Professional Engineer (PE) license with at least 2 years of professional experience.
  • Construction professional with 5 years of experience supervising structural aspects of projects in the field with a construction firm.

Physical Requirements:The role is primarily sedentary, involving routine walking, standing, bending, and the ability to carry items weighing up to forty pounds. Specific vision capabilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands for handling or feeling, reach with hands and arms, and communicate verbally. Occasional travel may be necessary.

Compensation & Benefits:The salary range for this role is between $90,000 and $150,000 annually. The exact compensation will be determined based on the candidate's skills, experience, education, certifications, and work location.
