Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at Legrand North America. This role will be responsible for managing and leading the hourly distribution staff in the execution of inbound and outbound functions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the receiving and put-away of inbound receipts, as well as the outbound order fulfillment, replenishment, customer returns, and shipping office requirements.
  • Directly manage hourly employees while providing support and development, and reduce/increase work force to accommodate workload.
  • Establish and maintain employee performance standards, and work with employees to set goals and define development needs.
  • Provide ongoing, timely feedback and periodic formal performance evaluations, per company guidelines.
  • Coach, train, and develop team members to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Maintain and manage productivity tracking, employee attendance records, and updates time keeping system as required.
  • Direct the continuous flow of inbound receipts, put-a-ways, replenishment, outbound shipments of LTL/UPS orders, and returns throughout the facility.
  • Meet daily deadlines and shipping and receiving goals, and monitor entire Distribution Center.
  • Work with vendors to ensure inventory supplies are sufficient versus budget, and purchase supplies as needed.
  • Administer Distribution Center policies in a firm, fair, and consistent manner, and conduct regular meetings with hourly employees to ensure good communication.
  • Coordinate with Distribution supervisors and managers to ensure communication and team effort in fulfilling the daily operations of the Distribution Center.

Requirements
  • Associate Degree in business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years plus of experience in a Distribution environment.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software, email, and meeting management software.
  • Ability to use internet and web-based resources efficiently and effectively, and thorough understanding of inventory control and/or database management software.
  • Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail, and ability to effectively handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment, fostering open communication and supporting an environment of innovation and creative change.
  • Strong analytical skills, and ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions.
