Job Title: Energy Monitoring Systems Technician

Veolia is seeking a skilled Energy Monitoring Systems Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to energy monitoring systems, including repairs, tests, and programming of electronic and mechanical meters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to service orders and perform repairs, tests, and programming of electronic and mechanical meters.
  • Use specific software to commission and program meters, and complete all relevant paperwork.
  • Coordinate with electricians and execute project micro-management upon completion.
  • Communicate with customers, contractors, and co-workers, and respond to inquiries in a timely fashion.
  • Perform other duties as required, including occasional drawing reviews, tenant surveys, and meter reading.
Requirements:
  • An associate's or Bachelor's Degree in electronics, computer technician, or instrumentation is strongly preferred.
  • At least two years of related field work experience or any equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of programming, testing, troubleshooting, and calibration of electronic and mechanical meters.
  • Strong PC skills and demonstrated skills in reading sub-meter drawings, diagrams, and wiring layouts.
  • Proven proficiency in Visio and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with customers and vendors, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Reliable team player.
  • An organized self-starter, able to follow standard procedures, prioritize assignments, and address problems as they arise or seek appropriate help.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
