Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled UAS Pilot to support our airport-centric UAS research efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expertise in the operation of unmanned aircraft, developing flight test plans and procedures, and collaborating with stakeholders to facilitate the integration of UAS into the National Airspace System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical knowledge and experience with UAS operations to support their integration safely and efficiently into the NAS.
  • Develop and execute flight test plans and procedures to support the development and testing of UAS systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including manufacturers, commercial vendors, industry trade associations, and government agencies, to facilitate the integration of UAS into the NAS.
  • Provide technical expertise to support the development and implementation of UAS operations and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • UAS Part 107 certificate with a minimum of 100 logged UAS flight hours
  • Experience with filing COAs and waivers, and flying various types of UAS platforms
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating UAS in multiple classes of airspace and on airport property
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based collaborative resources such as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
