Position Summary
We are seeking dedicated Radiology Technician Assistants for PRN opportunities.
Shifts: Variable day and night shifts, including 8am-4:30pm and 11:30pm-8am, Monday through Friday with weekend rotations as necessary.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals aspiring to advance their careers in healthcare, particularly within the radiology field. While prior experience in radiological services is advantageous, a solid understanding of human anatomy and departmental protocols is also beneficial. This PRN position offers flexibility, making it suitable for students, with a minimum shift requirement each month. Compensation is competitive, starting at $16+/hour, with additional pay for shift differentials. A high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required. Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their resumes for consideration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Welcome patients and manage their transition from waiting areas to examination rooms, ensuring all necessary forms are completed.
2. Assess patient prescriptions to confirm the appropriate examinations are conducted based on individual health concerns.
3. Execute all necessary cerner functions and maintain accurate records.
4. Prepare patients for procedures by assisting with changing and positioning.
5. Collaborate with technologists during examinations, providing support to patients, technologists, and radiologists throughout the process.
6. Retrieve and manage x-rays, medical records, and nuclear medicine reports as required.
7. Deliver films to radiologists for evaluation.
8. Maintain cleanliness of examination rooms post-procedure and replenish supplies as needed.
9. Adhere to all compliance standards relevant to the role.
10. Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent
Experience:
Required: No prior experience necessary, though up to six months of relevant experience is preferred.
Desired: Familiarity with radiological services, human anatomy, and departmental procedures.
Working Conditions:
Manual: Requires significant manual dexterity and coordination.
Occupational: Involves notable occupational risks.
Physical Effort: Requires heavy physical effort, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
