We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic procedures using state-of-the-art computerized imaging equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including complex imaging procedures, to provide high-quality patient care.
- Start and maintain intravenous (IV) access and utilize high-speed, pressurized injection equipment as needed.
- Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and potential contraindications.
- Adhere to established section and organizational protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Interact effectively with patients and care providers to coordinate and prioritize procedures, ensuring a high level of patient care and continuity.
- Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy procedures using CT equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
- Ensure exam rooms are neat, clean, and adequately stocked prior to exams, and maintain compliance with Infection Control standards.
- Accurately code and enter charges for exams performed.
- Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs of each patient served.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to CHRISTUS Health's Core values.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
- 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting required.
- 3 years of CT experience in a clinical imaging setting preferred.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in CT.
- Current state licensure and BLS (American Heart Association) certification required.
