About the Role

Amergis is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team in a clinic setting. As an LPN/LVN, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a variety of remote or clinic settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, utilize the nursing process to review, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Evaluate a patient's health status, estimate the level of health risk, and inform/provide feedback to patients to motivate behavior change to reduce health risks.
  • Perform health screenings and make appropriate referrals when indicated.
  • Perform interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and clinic policies and patient care outcome standards.
  • Provide a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic patient environment.
  • Initiate and evaluate patient and/or family education when appropriate.
  • Document patient's response to nursing and other interventions.
  • Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
  • Knowledge of universal precautions.
  • Knowledge of protocols for adverse reactions, reporting of incidents and injuries.
  • Knowledge of Workers Compensation assessments and reporting if applicable.
  • Knowledge of Immunization and Vaccine schedules and safety.
  • Administer vaccines or any necessary medications per protocols.
  • Handle storage and transportation of necessary supplies including vaccines.
  • Appropriately handle and dispose of biological waste.
  • Help stock and maintain the cleanliness of the site/location where they are stationed.
  • Help set up and dismantle clinic sites in various settings.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
  • Current Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse License in the state where they are practicing.
  • One year experience as an LPN/LVN in a clinic setting preferred.
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
  • Current CPR if applicable.
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site.
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
