KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate purchase orders based on lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQ), and pricing.
  • Implement and adhere to purchasing protocols in alignment with supplier lead times and internal testing schedules.
  • Oversee demand management for commercial projects.
  • Supervise demand management for research and development initiatives.
  • Accountable for ordering and coordinating materials and/or services for production, office, and staff needs.
  • Process orders, modifications, confirmations, returns, and other transactions daily utilizing the MRP system.
  • Organize and schedule logistics for incoming components, both domestically and internationally.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Manager to enhance efficiency for each component (MOQ, batch sizes, delivery schedules, etc.) to optimize internal processes and reduce costs.
  • Work with the Procurement Manager to leverage available forecasts for components to maximize purchasing power.
  • Maintain safety stock levels in accordance with internal plans.
  • Ensure safety stock aligns with customer commitments.
  • Share availability of raw materials and packaging materials for commercial purchase orders and R&D requirements as per planner specifications.
  • Understand raw material and packaging material specifications.
  • Address and resolve any out-of-stock materials and rejected materials in coordination with the Quality Department.
  • Ensure the availability of raw materials and packaging materials as per production schedules.
  • Maintain clear and accurate communication with the team.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Manager to evaluate quality, pricing, reliability, technical support, and availability of goods and services.
  • Escalate issues to the Purchasing Manager as necessary.
  • Develop purchasing strategies that guarantee consistent inventory availability within the company's budgetary constraints.
  • Assess financial risks associated with purchases according to schedules.
  • Monitor inventory value in relation to daily purchases.
  • Maintain records and systems that reflect a professional approach to purchasing activities.
  • Engage in process improvement initiatives or other special projects as assigned.

This position requires onsite attendance from Monday to Friday.
