Key Responsibilities
  • Attend sales conference calls and in-person meetings to design solutions for new prospects, utilizing your expertise in data center infrastructure, cloud platforms, and IT security best practices.

  • Stay up-to-date on all product offerings and industry trends and technologies, ensuring that our sales team has the latest information to effectively engage with customers.
  • Create complete and accurate documentation to deliver to implementation teams upon successful closing of an opportunity, ensuring seamless handoffs and successful project execution.
  • Provide regional datacenter tours when necessary, showcasing our facilities and capabilities to customers and prospects.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned, demonstrating your flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced business environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related industry or equivalent preferred.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in industry-relevant sales, consulting, and/or sales engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and explain solutions to both business and technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical, team-oriented, and have a documented path of success and contribution to a growing business in managed IT services field.
  • Ability to grasp complex technical issues and contracts, and clearly and simply translate them into current solutions that address and the underlying business needs.
  • Solid understanding of multi-tier highly available web applications and architecture methodologies within existing architectures, with the ability to match the correct solution to a given application and make recommendations towards upgrades where appropriate.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, driven, and have excellent communication skills.
  • High-energy individual with a positive attitude, good teamwork skills, and ability to have excellent customer rapport.
  • Persistent but pragmatic: willing to be flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Thorough knowledge of data center infrastructure components.
  • Working knowledge of x86 enterprise server hardware and operating systems such as Windows & Linux.
  • Working knowledge of SAN's and designing storage to meet both performance and size requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Firewalls, Load Balancers, Switches.
  • Working knowledge of IT and data center security best practices.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms and hypervisor technologies (e.g., VMware, AWS, Hyper-V, Azure, Google Compute Platform).
  • Understanding of DR best practices, with the ability to connect specific technical solutions to business impact in a failover scenario.
  • Credible - customers and prospects feel the SE truly understands their needs and can understand their questions and offer plausible colocation solutions.
  • Self-directed, self-motivated, and accomplishment-oriented - possesses the drive and determination to succeed.
  • Quick on feet - can address the challenges presented during sales conversation and turn around solutions and documentation quickly.

Compensation

The annualized salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $109,000 - $129,000. However, the actual pay range depends on each candidate's experience, location, and qualifications. Discretionary annual bonus, based on personal and company performance.
