This role involves the development, implementation, and maintenance of all Technology & Engineering standards pertinent to polymer coatings operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate, disseminate, and uphold the Engineering & Technology standards essential for achieving excellence in polymer coatings manufacturing.
  • Ensure that these standards are centered around operational needs, engaging with key stakeholders through Reference Groups to address critical safety, quality, and sustainability factors while balancing value and total cost of ownership.
  • Enhance capabilities in polymer process engineering, continuous improvement, and asset optimization.
  • Drive innovation and development initiatives with selected key suppliers to facilitate process enhancements, innovative solutions, and cost efficiencies.
  • Assist in the application of standards across the product network by serving as a technology licensor and mentoring local project and engineering teams.
  • Engage in site master planning discussions to establish 3 to 5-year development strategies and integrate cutting-edge technology where relevant.
  • Oversee the validation of new technologies and the initial rollout of new standards to ensure a repeatable, proven, and scalable approach.

Candidate Profile:

  • Over 10 years of experience in polymer coatings manufacturing or comparable extrusion and dry milling operations, including project management and operations management.
  • A technical degree in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in a technical management or operations management role.
  • A data-driven mindset focused on continuous improvement, complemented by strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in project planning and execution within an international context.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and lead transformations during challenging periods.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and risk management capabilities.
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills within a matrix organization.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
