Role Purpose:
Your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional nutritional care by accurately identifying the specific needs of patients across various age groups, evaluating their nutritional status, creating tailored care plans, and monitoring progress to enhance clinical outcomes.
You will provide evidence-based nutritional guidance to physicians, staff, patients, and their families, whether in an inpatient or outpatient context.Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments in accordance with established Nutrition Practice Guidelines.
- Formulating and executing individualized nutritional care plans, interventions, and objectives based on Nutrition Practice Guidelines and Clinical Nutrition Policies.
- Monitoring and assessing patients' responses to nutritional interventions.
- Determining patients' needs for Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) instruction and providing MNT guidance for modified diets as necessary.
- Assisting in the management of nutrition support, including Enteral Nutrition/Parenteral Nutrition (EN/PN), following Nutrition Practice Guidelines.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, you must hold registration as a dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and possess state licensure as a licensed dietitian/nutritionist (LDN). Ongoing maintenance of registration and licensure is required.
A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a dietitian, preferably in a healthcare setting, is essential.This role requires analytical skills to gather information from various sources, synthesize a problem list, and develop/implement interventions.
Effective verbal and written communication skills are crucial, as you will need to explain clinical and technical concepts to physicians, healthcare team members, patients, and their families.
You will also be expected to enforce policies and regulations in challenging situations or perform other duties that require a comparable level of communication proficiency. Training/certification in Allergen Awareness and Serv Safe Management is preferred.Benefits:
