About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Software Builder Experience (ASBX) organization, you will play a critical role in creating the world's best builder experience across tens of thousands of software engineers and all Amazon businesses.

Your primary responsibility will be to design and build full-stack solutions that enable delivery of innovative experiences and experiences. You will work closely with creative and technical teams to solve challenges, think big, and invent and simplify to deliver novel customer experiences.

To succeed in this role, you will need to leverage your technical ability, excellent organizational and communication skills to build and solve challenging and ambiguous problems. You will also be responsible for providing guidance to and mentoring other SDEs in the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build full-stack solutions that enable delivery of innovative experiences and experiences.
  • Use your problem-solving skills, collaborating with creative and technical teams, thinking big, and inventing and simplifying to solve challenges.
  • Deliver novel customer experiences by developing solutions that include innovative UX strategies, AWS services, and large-scale backend services.
  • Provide guidance to and mentor other SDEs in the team.
  • Be responsible for a high-quality bar, ensuring quality design reviews and robust engineering practices for automated testing, code coverage, and full CI/CD pipelines.
About the Team

The Amazon Software Builder Experience (ASBX) organization has a mission of creating the world's best builder experience across tens of thousands of software engineers and all Amazon businesses.

Our Builder Tools team in ASBX owns the software development tools Amazon software teams use to develop, release, and manage their software.

This role is for you if you are passionate about software development, development tools, and having a worldwide impact across all of Amazon. Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
