General Surgery Residency Program Leader

Holy Cross Hospital and the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine seek an experienced, Board-Certified Surgeon to lead the General Surgery Residency program in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Program OverviewThe University of Miami at Holy Cross General Surgery Residency program is ACGME accredited and committed to providing the next generation of physicians with the highest quality of education and training.
Responsibilities- Maintain authority and accountability of the program.
- Enforce policies and procedures required by governing agencies.
- Maintain ACGME accreditation and ensure program excellence in a patient-centered environment.
- Recruit residents into the program.
- Maintain the evaluation process for resident performance.
- Participate in the competency evaluations of residents.
- Medical Degree (MD or DO).
- Valid medical license in the State of Florida.
- Current board certification by The American Board of Surgery.
- Minimum of five years of experience as a Program Director, Associate Director, or Core Faculty member in an ACGME-approved Surgery residency, with leadership and administrative experience.
- Strong administrative and team-building skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Eligibility to obtain hospital privileges at participating institutions and UMMG-affiliated facilities.
