Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Analyst I - Data Insights Specialist to join our team at Bank of America. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for supporting analytical work efforts for various projects within a Line of Business or business discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage databases to acquire client and performance data, transforming extracted data into meaningful insights and trends.
- Deliver those insights to leaders to make complex business decisions.

Responsibilities:

LOB Specific Information:
Responsible for capturing, documenting, and maintaining data use inventory for the Consumer & Small Business Anti-Money Laundering organization as part of Client Protection.
This includes engaging with model and strategy teams, capturing data use at the data element level, and working with Inventory management leader to ensure oversight of data use change governance.
This role will collaborate with Data Stewards, Data Users, Data Owners, and Technology Teams to understand and assess their data, processes, and technology to support strategic data initiatives, remediate deficiencies, and drive business requirements.
The Analyst will work with the Inventory Management Leader to:
- Consult with data stewards, process owners, subject matter experts, technical experts, end users, and other stakeholders to gather information about the current and target state business process, data attributes, and data sources.
- Document and provide definitions for processes and procedures, data models, data quality controls, data lineage, and data dictionaries using industry-standard methods.
- Analyze information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, segment high-level information into details, and abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding.
- Assess and identify deficiencies against internal policies and standards or industry best practices, providing formal recommendations and requirements to remediate.
- Collaborate and partner with technology teams, architects, and other key stakeholders to drive solutions that provide ongoing operational excellence and resiliency to metadata and control environment challenges.
- Review and provide input to technical solution designs from a business point of view and recommend alternatives.
- Communicate plans, progress, and risks appropriately to the stakeholders and sponsors.
LOB Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with technology applications using relational databases and/or rule engines.
- Understands metadata and data supply chains.
- Understands ETL processes.
- Experience with metadata and metadata applications.
- Experience with data application mapping (inflows and outflows).
- Experience with relational databases, file systems, and reading & writing code (e.g., SAS, SQL).
- Documentation experience and building standardized templates, outputs.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: data intelligence/analytics, data management, data governance, data supply chain, data quality management, and/or data architecture.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, and data management and data concepts.

- Understanding of enterprise ADS internal architecture designs (e.g., Bronze, Silver, Gold).
- Experience reading and writing Python code.
- Financial services expertise.
- Subject matter expertise in Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions.
