Process Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Systems Engineer to contribute to the development and innovation of our computational modeling platform. The ideal candidate will have expertise in multiphase, multicomponent electrolyte systems and a strong background in chemical engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and enhancement of our existing codebase
  • Development of next-generation process modeling and optimization tools
  • Development and maintenance of numerical algorithms and solution techniques for chemical and phase equilibrium and kinetics of multiphase, multicomponent systems
Requirements:
  • Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in chemical engineering with a focus on process systems engineering
  • Extensive knowledge of fundamental principles, theories, practices, and established methodology of engineering, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and computational science
  • Specialized experience in formulating and solving complex nonlinear systems of equations
  • Technical experience in process modeling and optimization, development of novel mathematical optimization algorithms and solution techniques, and development of process modeling tools and software
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to write clear, well-documented code and work effectively with legacy code
  • Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and delivering well-tested code
  • Knowledge of advanced thermodynamic models, phase equilibria, and electrolyte properties
  • Development and integration of AI/ML to enhance process modeling and optimization
