Position Summary

  • ROLE SCOPE:
  • The Intake Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing all processes related to the intake of potential residents, as well as responding to inquiries regarding the Single Point of Access (SPA).
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Organize and manage documentation and reference materials
  • Oversee, filter, respond to, and relay incoming communications
  • Welcome and engage with visitors
  • Collaborate with internal personnel across various levels
  • Engage with external clients and stakeholders
  • Ensure timely, precise, and clear documentation in line with established protocols
  • Address unforeseen circumstances by effectively managing challenges, deadlines, and urgent situations
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Program Director

Candidate Qualifications

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related discipline is preferred
  • Experience Requirements:
  • CASAC-T certification is mandatory, CASAC certification is preferred
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous
  • Proficient in computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • A valid New York State Driver's License is beneficial, though not essential
