Fire Protection Technician

As a Fire Alarm & Security Technician, your primary responsibilities include installing, troubleshooting, servicing and repairing fire alarm and security systems. This requires knowledge of various manufacturers' clean agent and high-pressure suppression systems.
You will use appropriate tools and test equipment such as multi-meter, megger, laptop to program, lifts, etc. to repair or replace fire alarm and suppression system components. Your comprehensive working knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards is essential.
In this role, you will be responsible for programming and software knowledge with various fire alarm systems used when removing or replacing components. You will also need to troubleshoot to determine fault or faults including ground faults with fire alarm systems.
Your ability to safely follow and perform procedures to handle, remove and replace explosive actuators such as squibs and gas cartridge actuators is crucial. Effective communication skills are necessary to communicate with internal and external customers and offsite monitoring companies professionally.
Our team relies on punctual technicians who can complete scheduled projects in a timely manner. You will use Field Service Lightning to track work orders, materials needed, time on job, etc. and complete documentation on work orders.
