Job Overview

The Screen Printing Press Technician position is essential for the effective and safe operation of printing machinery, ensuring adherence to customer requirements, quality benchmarks, and organizational safety standards. This role is designated for the 2nd shift, which operates from 4:20 PM to 2:40 AM, Monday through Thursday, with the expectation of additional hours on Fridays. *A 10% differential rate is available for those working dual shifts.*

  • Examine printed products to confirm accuracy in color, registration, material, and compliance with customer specifications.
  • Modify and uphold registration, color, perforations, and other printing parameters as necessary.
  • Supervise press functions for any irregularities and implement corrective measures when required.
  • Adjust press components and machinery using appropriate tools.
  • Conduct preliminary inspections prior to printing to detect any defects or non-conformance.
  • Perform final evaluations to ensure all specifications are satisfied before commencing production.
  • Review job details, adhere to work order guidelines, and carry out tasks as instructed.
  • Input all job-related information into the ERP system.
  • Return surplus materials to designated storage areas following each job.
  • Complete necessary line clearance and maintain production records and documentation.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalent Degree (GED) is required.

Experience:

  • Preferred candidates will possess knowledge of cGMP, ISO, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with inks, materials, and die-cutting tools is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in machine setup, UV and water-based inks, and vision systems is expected.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes in the pharmaceutical sector is beneficial.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite are required.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Extended periods of standing are necessary.
  • Repetitive actions such as bending, reaching, and walking are part of the job requirements.
