Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist to provide high-quality speech and language services to students in a school setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of speech and language assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific needs and goals.
  • Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students to improve their speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational goals and provide training and resources to enhance their communication development.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and confidential records of all assessments and therapy sessions, and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure and Certification: Valid Maryland license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and Maryland Department of Education certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the public schools.
  • Experience: Minimum 1+ years of experience working with children in a school setting, preferably in a Speech-Language Pathologist role.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of speech and language assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education laws and regulations, excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and diverse stakeholders.
