Overview

The Role and Team

We are seeking a dedicated Food Runner to join our 'Meals' team, responsible for ensuring that production lines are consistently stocked with necessary materials to prevent any interruptions. Each Runner plays a crucial role in supplying their designated line, which typically produces a significant volume of meals each shift. Upon completion of a production run, the Runner will collaborate with the team during line changeovers. Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to maintain performance throughout their shifts and handle frequent manual tasks involving material movement. Additionally, you may be required to assist with changing films and labels in the absence of the team leader, and occasionally support operations on the production line.

This role is physically demanding and involves substantial manual handling of materials from the Kanban system to workstations.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the production line is supplied with the correct materials to eliminate downtime.
  • Assist with changeovers to minimize line interruptions.
  • Follow established work instructions diligently.
  • Operate machinery as required.
  • Prioritize health and safety by adhering to safe working practices and assisting with risk assessments as needed. Report any incidents or hazards to your line manager.
  • Maintain quality standards by communicating any potential issues regarding materials or processes to the line supervisor.
  • Adhere to hygiene protocols and maintain a clean workspace to prevent cross-contamination.

About You

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience working towards established standards and KPIs.
  • Proficient in English and Mathematics.
  • Experience in a production environment.
  • Completion of Level 2 Food Safety training is required.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Certification in food safety (Level 2).
