Job Description:

The Construction Contract Manager - Strategic Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive acquisition strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives. This role will involve managing the solicitation, negotiation, and award of construction contracts, as well as providing expertise and oversight on contract administration. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of construction contracting principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive acquisition strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives
  2. Manage the solicitation, negotiation, and award of construction contracts
  3. Provide expertise and oversight on contract administration
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors
  5. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations
  6. Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as construction management, business administration, or engineering
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in construction contracting or a related field
  • Skills: Strong understanding of construction contracting principles and practices, excellent communication and negotiation skills, ability to develop and implement a comprehensive acquisition strategy

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience

Location: Durham, NC
