Position Summary:

We are pleased to present an opportunity to join Sutter Health as a skilled Echocardiography Specialist. This role involves proficiently conducting diagnostic cardiac sonography assessments to evaluate cardiac structures and hemodynamics, adhering to the established standards of practice and the core values of our organization.

The Echocardiography Specialist will be responsible for executing a variety of outpatient adult echocardiography procedures with a high degree of expertise. Familiarity with stress echo and stress testing is advantageous.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform adult transthoracic echocardiograms, bubble studies, and ultrasound enhancing agent studies.
  • Conduct AV and VV optimization, stress echo, and stress testing.
  • Possibly oversee specific procedures and provide orientation to new staff members.

Qualifications:

Education:
Completion of an accredited Cardiac Sonography Program is required.

Certification & Licensure:
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or ARDMS certification (RDCS AE for adult or RDCS PE for pediatric) is mandatory. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.


Experience:

Level I requires less than 2 years of relevant experience, while Level II necessitates 2 or more years.


Skills and Knowledge:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Intermediate understanding of diagnostic cardiac sonography principles and equipment operation.
  • Proficiency in conducting cardiac sonographic examinations with a solid grasp of human anatomy and medical terminology.
  • Strong communication skills to convey sensitive information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.


Travel Requirements:

This position may require travel to support various clinics.


Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position with a schedule from Monday to Friday, encompassing 40 hours per week.
