Job Title: Environmental Risk Underwriter

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with colleagues and regional teams to assess and manage environmental risks.
  • Implement marketing and sales strategies to drive business growth and revenue.
  • Visit local agencies and brokers to build relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Solicit new business submissions and determine terms, pricing, and coverage.
  • Adhere to underwriting standards and guidelines to ensure accurate and compliant risk assessment.
  • Document underwriting files accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of underwriting or related environmental experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the insurance industry and environmental risk management.
  • Proficiency in underwriting concepts and practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Internet usage skills.
