Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at LifeBridge Health. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures at a safe and experienced level without direct supervision. You will also provide technical assistance to new technologists and students regarding procedures, departmental standards/protocols, etc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleans and maintains equipment according to departmental procedures; advises appropriate staff members of inoperable equipment
  • Selects appropriate protocol for each ultrasound scan procedure based on computer software, integration with PACS and the presence of pathology; ensures proper levels of density and contrast are utilized to obtain an optimal quality image and calculations
  • Fosters an environment for continuous performance improvement and team support
  • Maintains inventory and stocks supplies in assigned area. Ensures stock levels are maintained and are appropriate. Utilizes PACS/RIS system to problem solve any imaging issues when necessary
  • Participates in holiday shift coverage as required
