Job Title: Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team for a travel assignment in Baltimore, Maryland.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to perform computed tomography (CT) scans and other diagnostic imaging procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform CT scans and other diagnostic imaging procedures using prescribed techniques and protocols.
  • Review requisitions to ensure completeness and accuracy, verifying patient information and exam details.
  • Adjust equipment and select appropriate technical factors to produce high-quality radiographic exposures.
  • Utilize standard positioning techniques to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
  • Document administration of contrast and scans paperwork into Cerner.
  • Perform exam completion, complete screenings/consents, and paper scanning in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in diagnostic imaging, preferably in a travel or per diem setting.
  • Current certification in radiologic technology (R.T.(R)).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced certification in computed tomography (CT) technology (AART).
  • Valid Maryland license to practice as a radiologic technologist.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with GE and Siemens scanner equipment.
  • Experience in abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction.
  • Experience in aspirations/biopsies, colography, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, transplant studies, and PET/CT.
