Job Overview

ProCare Therapy is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a dedicated educator, you will work closely with students with diverse learning needs and disabilities, creating individualized education programs (IEPs) that cater to their unique requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement tailored educational plans for students with special needs.
  • Modify teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Engage students using innovative instructional techniques and technologies.
  • Evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and specialists to support student development.
  • Communicate with parents/guardians about student progress and educational goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License or eligibility for certification.
  • Demonstrated experience working with students with diverse learning needs and disabilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques and positive behavior support strategies.
