We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at LabCorp in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities- Assist with the management of laboratory operations, including scheduling, staffing, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including CLIA and state regulations.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Train and develop laboratory staff, including new hires and current employees.
- Monitor and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
- Prepare and test new reagents or controls.
- Report accurate and timely test results to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory requirements.
- ASCP and/or AMT Certification/Generalist required.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Understanding of laboratory operations, policies, and procedures.
- Proficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Comfortability making decisions in a changing environment.
- Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position.
