Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the management of laboratory operations, including scheduling, staffing, and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including CLIA and state regulations.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Train and develop laboratory staff, including new hires and current employees.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
  • Prepare and test new reagents or controls.
  • Report accurate and timely test results to ensure quality patient care.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory requirements.
  • ASCP and/or AMT Certification/Generalist required.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Understanding of laboratory operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Proficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Comfortability making decisions in a changing environment.
  • Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position.
