Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer inquiries, offering product samples, and informing customers of promotions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the cheese shop and surrounding areas.
  • Assist with sales and profit goals by monitoring inventory, controlling quality assurance standards, and working closely with the Deli/Bakery team.
  • Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients according to recipes, using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
  • Check product quality to ensure freshness and take appropriate action.
  • Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
  • Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
  • Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
  • Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions and note any discrepancies.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained.
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions and notifying store management.
  • Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notifying appropriate departments or store managers of any items in need of repair.
  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
  • Report all safety risks or issues and illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud to store management.
Requirements
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
  • Ability to handle stressful situations.
