Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll and Benefits Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, benefits administration, and a thorough understanding of compliance requirements. The Payroll and Benefits Consultant will be responsible for managing payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, and administering employee benefits programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Management:
- Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain payroll records, including timesheets, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
- Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored benefits.
- Coordinate open enrollment processes and communicate benefits information to employees.
- Handle benefits-related inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll and benefits laws and regulations.
- Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies.
- Assist with audits and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Consulting and Support:
- Provide expert advice and guidance on payroll and benefits matters to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and implementation of payroll and benefits policies and procedures.
- Conduct training sessions for employees on payroll and benefits topics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing and benefits administration.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll and benefits laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Salary: $35 - $39 per hour
