Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll and Benefits Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, benefits administration, and a thorough understanding of compliance requirements. The Payroll and Benefits Consultant will be responsible for managing payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, and administering employee benefits programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Management:
    • Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Maintain payroll records, including timesheets, deductions, and tax withholdings.
    • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
  • Benefits Administration:
    • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored benefits.
    • Coordinate open enrollment processes and communicate benefits information to employees.
    • Handle benefits-related inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll and benefits laws and regulations.
    • Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies.
    • Assist with audits and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
  • Consulting and Support:
    • Provide expert advice and guidance on payroll and benefits matters to clients and internal stakeholders.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of payroll and benefits policies and procedures.
    • Conduct training sessions for employees on payroll and benefits topics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Salary: $35 - $39 per hour
