Senior Laboratory Technician

LabCorp is seeking a highly skilled Senior Lab Assistant to work in a high-volume, production-based environment in Raritan, NJ. This role plays a vital component in clinical lab science, requiring attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and sort clinical lab specimens with precision and accuracy
- Prepare specimens for testing and analysis, adhering to established protocols
- Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information with high accuracy
- Troubleshoot any specimen-related issues, ensuring timely resolution
- Replenish test bench supplies as needed to maintain a smooth workflow
- Maintain Turn-Around-Time (TAT) requirements set forth by leadership, ensuring efficient operations
- Follow through on problem resolution of samples to completion, ensuring quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures
- Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested, ensuring accurate documentation
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with 1 year of relevant experience required
- Previous medical/lab or production experience is preferred, with prior knowledge of specimen acceptability a plus
- Comfortability with handling biological specimens, with ability to accurately identify specimens
- Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills, with high level of attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multitask
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, meeting established turn-around times
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods
- Must pass a standardized color blindness test, with flexibility to work overtime as needed
