Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level. Your primary responsibilities will include delivering safe and effective care, interacting with other members of the healthcare team, and contributing to achieving desired patient outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices. We require licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Additionally, you must hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or its equivalent. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is also required for most nursing areas within the hospital.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

As a Registered Nurse II at MUSC Health, you can expect to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires adaptability, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills. You must be able to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, and working indoors and outdoors in temperature extremes. Our facility is latex-safe, and you must be able to maintain good olfactory sensory function and qualify physically for respirator use.
