**Job Summary**

TerranearPMC, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Material Accountability Officer to support company projects. This position will be based at a project location, outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Relocation assistance may be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the site's Material Control and Accounting (MC&A) Program, ensuring compliance with 10 CFR 74, Material Control and Accounting of Special Nuclear Material, applicable NRC regulations (NUREGs) and Regulatory Guides, as well as industry standards.
  • Implement procedures to address all relevant elements in 10 CFR 74, including inventory management, loss detection, measurement of special nuclear materials (SNM), nuclear material control, and reporting requirements.
  • Support project leadership in the execution of project requirements, including work planning, training, and coordination with other teams.
  • Coordinate with the Waste Manager to maintain accurate MC&A inventory controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary interface with the Contractor's physical security coordinator and the Contracting Officer for routine communications regarding site SNM inventory status and MC&A related event reporting.
  • Have the authority to stop work if the SNM inventory is compromised, including indication of potential loss, theft, or diversion of SNM.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the development and/or implementation of MC&A Programs, preferably at HTRW cleanup, facility D&D or related projects with exposure to hazards.
  • Minimum of two (2) years management or supervisory experience.
  • Specialized training to include, but not limited to:
    • SNM accounting to address 10 CFR Part 74 or equivalent DOE requirements.
    • Non-destructive and destructive assay for nuclear materials and data acquisition.
    • Mass U-235 enrichment determination.
    • MC&A reporting including electronic reporting using SAMS.
    • Working knowledge of applicable federal regulations, guidance documents, and industry standards related to MC&A.
