WVU Medicine is in search of a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider to enhance our surgical care team. This role involves delivering high-quality medical services under the guidance of a supervising physician, ensuring comprehensive care for patients throughout their surgical journey.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant health or science discipline
  • National certification or eligibility for certification within one year of employment
  • Valid licensure as a physician assistant
  • Current certification in CPR

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide direct patient care under physician oversight
  • Exhibit proficient surgical competencies
  • Deliver age-appropriate medical care in partnership with physicians
  • Educate patients regarding their health conditions
  • Contribute to the enhancement of practice standards
  • Engage in ongoing professional development
  • Participate in the training of staff and students
