Position Summary:

As a Senior Accounting Specialist at Stage 1 Financial, you will oversee the monthly financial processes for our key clients, ensuring the precise and timely execution of weekly and monthly accounting and reporting tasks. This role will serve as the primary liaison for maintaining client relationships and collaborating to enhance the company's accounting and financial framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform standard general ledger tasks for fast-paced clients, including bank and merchant processing reconciliations, transaction coding, payroll, and inventory reconciliations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding their accounting needs.
  • Assist in the accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Support various aspects of the month-end closing and reporting activities.
  • Engage in balance sheet reconciliation and cleanup projects, as well as system implementations and accounting process improvements.
  • Manage transactions and reconciliations across multiple systems.
  • Provide support for ad hoc projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in Excel and QuickBooks (both Online and Desktop versions).
  • Exceptional customer service skills and background.
