Municipal Engineer

Job Description:

Actalent is seeking a skilled Municipal Engineer to join our team in Waterford, Michigan. As a Municipal Engineer, you will be responsible for performing engineering, construction, and design assignments on various municipal projects in Metro Detroit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform soil and/or concrete observation and testing of water, sewer mains, and manholes
  • Document and report all construction project activities
  • Perform analyses and design required on projects
  • Prepare sketches and diagrams for use by field technicians
  • Review and check drawings and layouts
  • Assist in the preparation of contract/proposal specs and construction cost estimates
  • Review subcontractor shop drawing submittals
  • Perform construction monitoring and coordinate field activities
Requirements:
  • Civil Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in CAD software
