About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remittance Processing Associate to join our team at FIS. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of customer payments and exceptions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare customer payments for processing, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform 10-key data entry of account numbers, invoice numbers, and amounts, maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct research and adjustment activities to resolve customer inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Balance credits and debits within transactions, ensuring financial accuracy and integrity.
  • Perform MICR line repair and other related duties as assigned.
  • Work effectively under deadlines and in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
Requirements
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Capacity to lift or move up to 30 pounds, with frequent standing and sitting.
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact with employees and external customers/clients.
  • Knowledge of practices, procedures, and problem-solving techniques required to verify and distribute computer output.
  • Knowledge of client specifications for remittance processing, including off-line and peripheral equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to identify errors in calculations and balances, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • General knowledge of remittance processing, with experience in banking and data entry a plus.
  • Payments processing experience, particularly in check handling, is highly desirable.
