Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Jackola Engineering & Architecture, PC. As an Electrical Engineer for Building Systems, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and approving construction documents, specifications, and permit applications to ensure compliance with contracted scope of work and electrical engineering standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review construction documents, specifications, and permit applications to ensure compliance with electrical engineering standards.
  • Develop and implement project management strategies to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Engage in business development activities, including creating proposals and preparing for interviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project detail and plan quality meet client and project standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of experience post-graduation from an accredited University.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE).
  • Clear, respectful written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent design skills and ability to ensure project detail and plan quality meet client and project standards.
  • Strong understanding of building construction and materials.
  • Organized and able to handle multiple projects/tasks at a time.
  • Self-starting, able to work independently and also be part of a team.
  • Maturity and self-confidence to engage with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A good understanding of sustainable design practices is desired, certification or good experience within LEED, WELL Building, Green Globes or similar is a benefit.
  • Desire to participate in multi-discipline projects.
  • Local experience and licensure in Washington preferred but not required.
  • Autodesk Revit skills strongly preferred.
