Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Technician to join our team at Moonlight Packing Corporation. As a Sanitation Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe working environment for our employees and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Sanitize all equipment in the facility, including conveyor belts, pack tables, and brushes, to maintain a high level of cleanliness and prevent contamination.
  • Assemble and disassemble manufacturing equipment as needed, following SSOP standards and procedures.
  • Follow a master cleaning schedule to ensure all areas of the facility, including production areas, warehouse, and packaging, are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
  • Perform tasks assigned by the supervisor, including daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly schedules, to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Operate equipment, mix, and use chemicals safely and effectively, following proper handling procedures and emphasizing safety and proper storage.
  • Wash equipment, production areas, and storage rooms to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Responsible for removing fruit in production areas, handling trash disposal, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Responsible for following all food safety and quality procedures outlined in PrimusGFS/SQF requirements.
  • Report any violations or injuries to the supervisor or plant manager immediately.
Requirements
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work well in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to lift 20-75 pounds.
  • Ability to be exposed to sanitation/cleaning chemicals.
Physical Demands

This position requires frequent standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay and Benefits

The hourly pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00. Medical benefits are also available.
